Community Unity Day 2007 hosted by the City of Wichita & Real Men Real Heroes
Over 4,000 citizens attended the sixth annual Community Unity Day in Wichita, Kansas. The event featured a resource fair, carnival rides, youth drill team competition, singers and performers, and much more. Wichita’s Real Men Real Heroes (www.realheroeswichita.org) were in attendance to talk about their initiative to help communities by being positive role models. We also partnered with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Sedgwick County to sign up those interested in becoming mentors through their organization.


Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade sponsored by Malcolm Hughes
Held in Fayette County, Georgia, this annual parade honoring the civil rights activist Martin Luther King Jr., was followed by a community rally and other activities. We organized a group of individuals to participate and speak with attendees about the “it is up to us…” initiative.





Top 30 Under 30 hosted by the K.A.O.S. Groupe
This event honored young professionals with an award for their achievements as young trailblazers. All winners received “it is up to us” t-shirts.







Andrew and Walter Young YMCA Grand Opening Parade: Southwest Atlanta YMCA
We organized a group to join several organizations in a parade honoring Andrew and Walter Young in the Southwest Atlanta area. The parade marked the grand opening of the facility.







Youth Summit: Hosted by Congressman Emanuel Cleaver
Congressman Cleaver extended an invitation to us to assist in spreading our positive initiative in the Kansas City metro area. The event included a panel of speakers to discuss issues with local youth, music, and a poetry slam.
